Welcome to the Wholly Pelvis Online Booking Page!

We’re so glad you’re here!

Whether you’re seeking support for pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, pain with sex, pregnancy or postpartum recovery, our team is here to help support you as you move through your pelvic health journey.

For New Clients:

Please book a Pelvic Health Initial Assessment to begin your care with us. The initial appointment is virtual and is designed to help our team understand your story and health history thoroughly so we can begin. Any time left from this virtual appointment will be added to the first in-person appointment based on discussion with Bhawan.

Booking Note:
Our schedule tends to fill several weeks in advance, so we kindly ask all new clients to book 3 follow-up appointments when scheduling your initial visit. It’s recommended to schedule your follow-ups at:

  • 1 week after the initial assessment
  • 2 weeks after the initial assessment
  • 4 weeks after the initial assessment

This helps ensure consistent care and better long-term outcomes.

For Returning Clients:

Please feel free to book your follow-up sessions as recommended by Bhawan.

If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help!

We look forward to working with you on your pelvic health journey.

Warmly,

Bhawan Sekhon, MScPT GCertSH BSc

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy focuses on preventing or improving symptoms or dysfunctions linked to the inner core, including the pelvic floor muscle system. This may be related to urination, bowel movements, sexual health, birth/labour, and lifting/exercising to name a few. Pelvic Health Physiotherapists receive additional training to perform internal vaginal and rectal exams which is beneficial to the patient’s care because they allow direct assessment of the pelvic floor muscles and system.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy takes a full body approach to understanding symptoms and connects the physical body (including the nervous system and muscles systems) to our mental health as they are intimately related to one another.

Pessary fitting with a pelvic health physiotherapist (who has training) is covered under private insurance for physiotherapy. The Pessary itself can be covered under "medical equipment" for most insurance companies.

This appointment will help us get connected, help me know what you are looking for in your pessary and also helps us get the process started with your medical team.

As a pelvic health physiotherapist with additional training in sexual health and foundational neuroscience, Bhawan believes in using education, exercise therapy, and evidence to help empower and uplift women within a comfortable and safe environment. Her passion for providing high quality pelvic and sexual health care was sparked when Bhawan found her close friends who had given birth more than once had never heard of pelvic health physiotherapy. This interest progressed further while Bhawan was working at a prenatal/postnatal care clinic and realized that women in her own community felt silenced when needing sexual health support.

She received a Masters of Physiotherapy from McMaster University after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Carleton University with a major in Neuroscience. As well, Bhawan is one of few pelvic health physiotherapists in Ontario to have completed a post-graduate certificate in Sexual Health Education from the University of Alberta. Throughout her career, Bhawan has enjoyed educating others and currently holds a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University and is co-founder of the Sikh Women’s Health Network. As well, she loves using her healthcare experience and sexual health training to develop community centred comprehensive pelvic and sexual health workshops to support proactive and inclusive health care.
